The official website for Onmyoji 0 , the new live-action film inspired by Baku Yumemakura's historical fantasy novel series Onmyoji , announced today the film is set to release in Japan on April 19, 2024. Kento Yamazaki is cast as the protagonist, Abe no Seimei. Yamazaki has played lead roles in more than ten live-action films based on popular Japanese manga and light novel series in his career, including Your Lie in April (2016), JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Diamond is Unbreakable (2017), Hyouka (2018), and Kingdom (2019-). Most recently, he plays the protagonist, Saichi Sugimoto, in the upcoming Golden Kamuy live-action film to release in January 2024. The site also posted a new 70-second teaser trailer to introduce the film's main cast members and a flyer visual featuring Yamazaki as Abe no Seimei.
