The official Twitter for Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM , the film sequel from the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED franchise, released a 60-secomd main trailer today for the upcoming movie. The new trailer introduces the main characters' expressions and dialogue as a new conflict erupts and new mobile suits, including Rising Freedom Gundam piloted by Kira. The clip also features the film's theme song "FREEDOM," a collaboration work by Tetsuya Komuro and Takanori Nishikawa. Director Mitsuo Fukuda and other staff from the TV series have reunited. In the movie, fighting is still ongoing in C.E. (Cosmic Era) 75, where the film's story is set. The Compass, a world peace monitoring organization, is created to calm down the independence movement and the invasion by Blue Cosmos, and Kira and his team intervene in battles around the world. Compass is proposed by an emerging nation, Foundation, to conduct a joint operation against the stronghold of Blue Cosmos. Mobile Suit Gundam SEED FREEDOM is set to open in Japan on January 26, 2024. An era in which there are human beings called Coordinators, born with superior physical and mental abilities thanks to genetic modification, and humans called Naturals who are born naturally. With their respective existence at stake, the ideological clash between Coordinators and Naturals escalated into war using armed force. Along the way, the Destiny Plan was proposed, which would forcibly assign a role to each individual and create a world free of competition.
