1st Black Jack TV Drama in 24 Years Premieres in 2024

The first details have been released regarding the first new Black Jack TV drama to be broadcast in 24. The new drama series will be broadcast on TV Asahi in Japan in 2024 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Black Jack medical drama manga created by Osamu Tezuka and will adapt selected stories from the serial. The first key visual featuring actor Issei Takahashi and a yet unnamed child actor in the role of Pinoko is featured below. The main staff for the series has also been announced with Hideo Jojo in the director's chair, Yoshiko Morishita handling the screenplay, composer Takashi Ohmama handling the series music and renowned costume designer Isao Tsuge handling costume and character wardrobe design. Crunchyroll currently streams the 1996 Black Jack The Movie anime film and describes it: Black Jack is a master surgeon who possesses impeccable skills, enabling him to perform operations that are impossible for even the finest surgeons.
