YOASOBI's Oshi no Ko Opening Theme Tops Japan's 2023 Anime Song Karaoke Ranking

Japanese karaoke company EXING has announced the "2023 JOYSOUND Karaoke Annual Ranking," which was based on the number of songs sung on its commercial online karaoke services, "JOYSOUND" and "UGA," from January 1 to November 15, 2023. Those services have the industry's largest number of songs distributed (over 350,000). The most sung song in the anime/tokusatsu/game category in the year 2023 was two-member unit YOASOBI's third single song "Idol," which was featured as the opening theme for the spring 2023 TV anime Oshi no Ko . The song also ranked No.2 in the overall ranking, behind Vaundy's "Kaiju no Hanauta," while ranking No.1 both in the ranking for the songs released in 2023 and the ranking for the songs by the artists born from the net.
