Tanjiro Kamado Unwavering Resolve Arc
(Episodes 1-26)
Tanjiro Kamado lives a simple, peaceful life in the mountains of Japan. One day, that peace is forever shattered when demons attack his family while he is away. Only Nezuko, his younger sister, survives the attack, now transformed into a demon herself.

Determined to save his sister and destroy the demon who killed his family, Tanjiro sets off to join the Demon Slayer Corps, a group of special fighters with abilities to take down powerful demons. Simply training under an older, accomplished Demon Slayer isn't enough, though. Tanjiro will have to enter and survive the Final Selection if he ever hopes to become a Demon Slayer.
Now that he's a full-fledged Demon Slayer, Tanjiro sets out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of young women in a nearby town. A demon stalks the night, one with the unique ability to open portals to its own hidden bog. With the help of Kazumi, one of the bereaved villagers, Tanjiro has to fight his first demon as a bonafide Demon Slayer.
Next, Tanjiro finds himself in Asakusa, Tokyo, face-to-face with the demon Muzan Kibutsuji — the very demon who attacked his family! Things go from tense to worse as Kibutsuji transforms a passerby into a demon. Now Tanjiro has a bigger problem to deal with than revenge alone.
Foes keep seeming to appear, including members of the fearsome Twelve Kizuki, some of the highest-ranking, most powerful demons. But with the assistance of demons Tamayo and Yshiro, Tanjiro may have the edge he needs to come out victorious. And more importantly, he may have the confirmation he needs that Nezuko can be changed back into a human!
On the way to his next mission, Tanjiro runs into a fellow Final Selection survivor, Zenitsu Agatsuma. Together, they make their way deep into the mountains where they find two children who claim their brother was taken away right in front of their house. The demon Kyogai lies deep within the mansion and proves a difficult opponent, but Tanjiro and Zenitsu may have just found a new ally in the form of a strange boy with a boar's head named Inosuke.
Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke head toward the forested Mount Natajumo, though Zenitsu doesn't enter, too afraid of what may lie in wait in the forest's dark interior. Once there, Tanjiro and Inosuke find the forest teaming with spiders and covered in webs... webs that seem to have taken over the bodies of a whole host of seasoned Demon Slayers who are now Tanjiro's unwilling enemies.
Deep within the forest, a family of spider demons have made their home, led by one of the Twelve Kizuki, Lower Rank 5 Rui. Worried about Nezuko, Zenitsu ventures into the forest alone, only to stumble into a member of the spider demon family. Elsewhere, Tanjiro and Inosuke get separated, each fighting their own strenuous battles against members of the spider demon family. Luckily for Zenitsu and Inosuke, two members of the Hariso appear just when they need them the most.

Tanjiro battles Rui for nothing less than Nezuko herself, who Rui is intent on making his own sister. Obviously, Tanjiro isn't going to stand for that. Fighting one of the Twelve Kizuki is no joke, however. And it's going to take both Tanjiro and Nezuko everything they've got to defeat Rui once and for all.
Tanjiro and Nezuko find themselves at the Demon Slayer Corps headquarters face-to-face with the Hashira, the Demon Slayers' most elite fighters. Their leader, Ubuyashiki, is there too. But this isn't the simple swearing-in ceremony it's supposed to be. The Hashira have a bone to pick with Tanjiro. After all, Demon Slayers aren't supposed to be harboring demons, even if the demon in question is their sister.
The Insect Hashira, Shinobu Kocho, takes Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke to the Butterfly Mansion for Rehabilitation Training. After all, our young Demon Slayers are still wounded from heir last mission, and they'll need additional training if they hope to survive future encounters with increasingly strong demons.
Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train
The first Demon Slayer movie covers the arc of The Movie: Mugen Train. Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke have finished their training at the Butterfly mansion. Now, it's on to the Mugen Train. So far, 40 people have disappeared from the train without a trace in a suspiciously short amount of time. It's up to Tanjiro, Nezuko, Zenitsu and Inosuke to see what's afoot. The quartet doesn't have to work alone, though. For this mission, they're teaming up with the Flame Hashira, Kyohuro Rengoku, as they head off to defeat a demon that's hidden somewhere on the train.
OK, here's the thing. This movie and the TV anime's Mugen Train Arc cover the same events. So which should you watch? The movie? Or the TV anime's Mugen Train Arc?
Honestly, that's up to you. Feel like watching the movie that took the world by storm and skipping over a few episodes of the anime's Mugen Train Arc? Sure thing! Want to continue on with the Mugen Train Arc (which has extra scenes and an anime original episode about Rengoku) and watch the movie later? No problem! Are you the sort of completionist who wants to 100 percent Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba like you would with your favorite video game? Go for it!
Mugen Train Arc
(Episodes 28 - 33)
As discussed above, this arc covers the same events as Demon Slayer The Movie: Mugen Train. Do be aware that the anime Mugen Train Arc does have scenes not available in the movie. The first episode of the arc is also an anime-original episode about Rengoku. Either this arc or the movie can be viewed, so pick whichever you're feeling and continue onward to the next arc!
Entertainment District Arc
(Episodes 34 - 44)
Tanjiro, Zenitsu and Inosuke team up with another of the Hashira. This time, they accompany Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui to the Entertainment District. Uzui's three wives had been collecting information before all contact with them was lost.

Now, our trio must disguise themselves as women in order to enter the Entertainment District so they can figure out what exactly happened. Only, Zenitsu then vanishes as well. It's going to take Tanjiro, Inosuke and Uzui everything they have to defeat the two Upper Rank Six demons, Daki and Gyotaro.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba — To the Swordsmith Village Movie
This is a special compilation film of the last two episodes of the Entertainment District Arc and the first episode of the Swordsmith Village Arc. At the time of writing this guide, however, this is out of theaters and is not available on streaming. Just let the autoplay roll and continue from the Entertainment District Arc right into the Swordsmith Village Arc.
Swordsmith Village Arc
Tanjiro and the rest of our Demon Slayer friends have come out victorious against the Upper Six demons Daki and Gyotaro. However, this victory means chaos in the demon's ranks. The status quo held for the last several hundred years has shifted. Things are changing, and quickly. A disturbance between Muzan Kibutsuji and the rest of the demons emerges.
Of course, demons forever lurk in the shadows. And Tanjiro is sure to have his hands full.
