Heavenly Delusion Gets Philosophical In Creditless Opening And Ending

Following the premiere of the second episode of Heavenly Delusion earlier today in Japan, the creditless opening and ending sequences have been posted online courtesy of series producer and Japanese publisher NBCUniversal Anime/Music. The series is currently streaming on Disney+ in international markets, with the series experiencing a slight delay in the US before premiering on Hulu earlier this week under the Japanese title Tengoku Daimakyou.

 

The opening features Japanese rock band BiSH performing "innocent arrogance" while the ending features Japanese pop group  ASOBI performing "Dare mo Kare mo Doko mo Nani mo Shiranai". Both are embedded below:

 

 

 

 

 

Based on the manga by Masakazu Ishiguro, Heavenly Delusion is being directed by Hirotaka Mori (Sword Art Online the Movie: Ordinal Scale assistant director) at studio Production I.G, with series composition by Makoto Fukami (Magical Girl Spec-Ops Asuka), character designs by Utsushita and music by Kensuke Ushio (Chainsaw Man).

 

Hulu, which is streaming the anime in the US alongside Disney+, describes the series as such:

 

In the year 2024, grotesque monsters lurk amongst the ruins of Japan, while remaining people scrape together what they can to survive. Kiruko accepts a mysterious woman's dying wish to take a boy named Maru to a place called Heaven.

 

In addition, Disney's Senior Manager for Dubbing in Reuben Lack has confirmed on Twitter that the English dub for the series will be made available in a staggered release on Disney+ and Hulu with cast info forthcoming:
