Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Reveals Gimmighoul and Its Two Coin-Loving Forms
The upcoming Pokémon Scarlet and Violet games link with the smartphone game Pokémon GO to showcase a brand new Pokémon today and reveal both of its forms that will be available to catch in both separate games. Two trailers, one lore-based and another gameplay-based, introduce the ghost-type kleptomaniac Gimmighoul, who comes in both a cheat form, available to catch in Paldea, and a roaming form, exclusive to Pokémon GO.

Gimmighoul's chest form is the Coin Chest Pokémon with the ghost-typing. It has the ability Rattled, which in previous generations raises its Speed stat when hit with a Bug, Dark or Ghost-type move that causes damage. Its roaming form is exclusive to Pokémon GO and will be available when Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are linked with the smartphone game directly and not just through Pokémon Home. This feature is set to go live in 2023.
Get all the gold by catching Gimmighoul in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet when the games release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch around the world on November 18.
