Takagi-san Anime Collaboration Headlines Shodoshima's 1st Festival in 3 Years
The skies of Tonosho, a town on the island of Shodoshima off Shikoku, will soon be lit up by the light of fireworks and engulfed by the atmosphere of a Japanese festival. For the first time in three years, the Shodoshima Festival is returning to the island, and to celebrate, the cast and theme song artist of the Teasing Master Takagi-san anime will be there to join in on the festivities.
Tonosho features prominently in Teasing Master Takagi-san as the setting of the series, with the series creator Soichiro Yamamoto having grown up in the city, which is the second biggest on the island. Rie Takahashi, who voices Takagi, series director Hiroaki Akagi and theme song artist Yuiko Ohara, who has performed the opening for all three seasons and the main theme song for the film, will be appearing on a collaboration stage at the event. Ohara will also be performing during the event.
