Japan has assigned the Vaporeon as it's ambassador of water cleaning and conservation department.
A department of the Japanese government has appointed the Pokemon Vaporeon as the mascot ambassador for a day promoting clean water conservation. 21 July to 22 July.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan has elected Pokémon Vaporeon as the upcoming Water Day Ambassador, an activity based on water awareness and protection.
Vaporeon is just the latest Pokemon in the popular Nintendo franchise hired by the Japanese government to promote special events and events-its partner Pokémon Laplace is the mascot of the public transportation system in Miyagi Prefecture.
The Baby Company and Yokohama City meet each year to organize the Pikachu Lightning Festival to promote tourism in the area.
