In continuation of the journey, the third episode starts with showing NARUTO waking up and having breakfast. He walks up denying it and puts on his hentai-ate. He is extremely excited about his next journey to become Ninja. It was an orientation day in the academy for new Ninjas.

On his path to the school, he finds KONOHAMARU who has become his temporary student. KONOHAMARU then tries to attack NARUTO which in order makes his clothes NARUTO than makes a headband for his own unique from the one KONOHAMARU has which signifies him as a Ninja full of pride.

The scene changes showing SAKURA getting started for the Ninja Academy. On her way to the academy, she had an encounter with an old friend and rival named INO YAMANAKA. After it, both get involved in arguments and end up in the class same time.

The argument is carried on by seeking who'll sit next to SASUKE UCHIHA an elite rookie and the last survivor of the Uchiha NARUTO becomes jealous not being the center of attraction jumps on the top of the bench in front of SASUKE with his broad eyes staring. A bystander pulls NARUTO down on SASUKE which leads to an accidental kiss making SAKURA angry with NARUTO for stealing her first kiss.

Soon IRUKA, the classroom's teacher, walks in making them settle down, and divides them into three-paired teams. It turns out that NARUTO, SASUKE, and SAKURA become a team. It's obvious that NARUTO is happy to be with SAKURA and SAKURA is happy to be with SASUKE. SASUKE in order doesn't feel the same and thought that they would be in the way.HINATA, a fellow graduate, becomes disappointed not being teamed up with her crush NARUTO. 

The scene opens up showing SAKURA insulting NARUTO and seeking for SASUKE during lunch NARUTO seeking revenge finds SASUKE and attacks him with a rope. This leads to the fight between the two making SASUKE victorious and joining SAKURA for lunch.SASUKE in fact asks SAKURA about her feelings for NARUTO.SAKURA unashamedly tells him as an annoying one and she doesn't understand him.

A flashback scene is shown where NARUTO was tied and gagged by SASUKE. He then transforms into SASUKE and then goes along with SAKURA. Both scenes turn to be romantic where SAKURA was trying to kiss the transformed SASUKE [NARUTO] which leads him to run to the bathroom telling SAKURA to lie about his stomach. Soon the real SASUKE enters seeking for NARUTO to know what was the attack on him for. He finds him which leads NARUTO to become relieved.

Nextly NARUTO is shown going to the classroom stopped by SAKURA to make her anger relieved and becoming nice NARUTO. Suprised, NARUTO not familiar with this kind of behavior from SAKURA becomes relieved once again.
